Work Post
1:23am - Here I go working again.
I still want to get Inktail's story done before I get too invested in other work, so I'm going to take another shot at that.
Next up is the trip to the castle and describing the castle. It's actually more intimidating than I expected.
Oh yeah I was gonna say about my day first. I don't know what's going to happen tonight really, I slept all day again after I finished my last post, until around ten pm. So that's a thing. But tomorrow I've got stuff to do in the afternoon. I've got a Heroclix game scheduled on my roomie's stream, and there's something I want to do after that if I'm able. So I don't know what I'll do about my schedule. I may be able to lay around whenever I want, but I can't really sleep just whenever...
Well I guess it'll be an interesting day!
Now back to the writing.
2:07am - Struggling to get anything written.
2:34am - Still struggling to get anything written, but now I'm daydreaming about 7drl. I got an email that it's happening soon, and I'm thinking about participating. It would be nice to have something new and shiny in my portfolio again, and I was thinking recently that it would be interesting to see a roguelike with corridors that are two tiles wide instead of one. Oh lol I just thought of a hex grid roguelike. That would probably work fine but I don't think it would be as easy to make.
3:14am - Pi Time. I'm still thinking about 7DRL and all that sort of thing. I remembered that I was developing a Godot Roguelike Toolkit a while back. I forget what was wrong with it in the end. I think I incorporated the idea into my dungeon creator game. I'd like to search through my old entries here for info about what I was doing, but apparently Dreamhost doesn't have a search function. That seems short sighted. As in, I wish I had seen that before I chose this platform instead of just making a second WordPress blog. I think you can search wordpress blogs. I'm pretty sure you can at least implement a search addon to a WordPress blog if you don't have search built in. I don't know.
Anyways I'm not sure I'm up for writing tonight. I've been trying to get myself into the right mental state for a while and it's not going. I'll let myself take a break for now and do other things, and maybe it'll come to me later.
4:46am - A while later and I'm still not feeling it. I'm going to close up for now and try to do something else with the day. Maybe I'll come back if the writing bug hits.
