9:10am - Well I finished my dialogue system demo last time, but I forgot that I was supposed to add onto it the ability to display portraits. It's okay though since I took the opportunity to querry Zax about what he wanted, and it seems I had a different idea of portraits than he did. So he gave me a screenshot example and I was like "I can totally do that." and I can. Though I'll probably leave off the back and forth arrows unless he specifically asks for them. They're not normal. The screenshot he gave me is probably from a visual novel or something. Oh well.
First thing I've gotta do is get a couple portrait imaages to use for my demo.
9:38am - Okay I've got some nice pictures to use.
Now, I'm thinking I'll modify the data structures to include an optional filename string for the picture.
10:58am - Hokay, I've added the portraits to the demo. They look pretty good. Had to finagle around the Unity assets and resources stuff a bit. Makes me wonder how come my dialogue loader works, but I guess that's 'cause it's C# library and not Unity...
Anyways I'll turn it into an exe and send it to Zax.
11:12am - Zax is conveniently on so I can hopefully get some quick feedback and keep working.
11:42am - Geez that was annoying. Unity put the .xml file in plain text in a folder along with the binary, but didn't update it when I changed the file in the editor. I don't know what's up with that...
At least I figured it out. I was using the wrong xml file.
1:00pm - Talking with Zax about the project. Not getting very fast replies. Alas.
1:05pm - I think I'm going to head home. Zax is barely responsive and the spirit of work has left me for the moment.
