8:30am - Well I had to get up extra early for a 7:30am appointment, and now I'm waiting until 9am at least to call my family doctor before going to sleep again. Or maybe I'll stay up all day, who knows?
For now I'm going to study some more ASP.NET and see how far I can get with that.
9:16am - Doctor's appointment made for next week. In a rare case of being too busy on the first day they offered, I had to take the second day. I have two things to do already on the 19th, so I didn't want a third thing.
9:40am - Just finished this tutorial: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/aspnet/core/tutorials/razor-pages/sql?view=aspnetcore-2.2&tabs=visual-studio
Getting kind of bored though so I think I'm going to take a break and focus on something else for a while.
10:52am - I'm too tired to keep playing games or working, but I'm going to leave this post open since I'm probably going to keep working later today.
8:32pm - My sleep went long since people kept calling me. The hospital called four times and Goodwill once, in a relatively short period. Long enough to let me get back in bed and sleep a minute or two between calls. Very frustrating. I got up again around five or six and then played a bit of Factorio, then went to get a haircut. Now my LinkedIn has a picture of me, and some updated contact information.
I'm not sure what to do about my resume. I'm actively gaining skills, like, right now even. So if I print out a bunch of resumes early for the job fair in a little over a week, well, they might not reflect my current skillset at that time. On the other hand, can I honestly claim mastery in something I learned a week ago?
Anyways I'm going to take a moment to look up some local print shops before I go back to working on ASP.NET.
8:41pm - Okay so all the local printers are so business focused that they only offer 'Ask us!' estimates, they don't have something like "Print out 50 resumes for a dollar!" or something. I'll just go in person with my resume sometime and ask I guess.
8:58pm - Things are getting less interesting in the ASP.NET front. It seems like I'd have to look this stuff up any time I wanted to use it anyways, so going over it in its entirety seems like a little much.
9:00pm - Oh, now that I've skipped to the end, I see that Razor Pages are an alternative to MVC. Probably everybody just uses MVC right? Oh well.
9:06pm - Okay I'm really not feeling it tonight. I think I'm going to stop here for now with the ASP.NET and pick it up again later, around here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/aspnet/core/tutorials/first-mvc-app/?view=aspnetcore-2.2
I might do something else in the meantime. We'll see.
