12:50pm - Alright, here we go again!

Last time I was struggling with figuring out why my player wouldn't move. I've still got that problem, so let's see if I can figure out why it's happening.

1:05pm - So I tried moving the player around to see if the problem was a collision with the ground or something, but the only thing that seems to happen is if the player is above the terrain and I click anywhere on the terrain, the player moves to the terrain below it and stops. I'm not sure why. It vexes me.

Okay, so if I move the player away from the terrain, it'll move towards the terrain and stop. I don't get what's going on. ;.;

1:38pm - So, I sort-of figured it out. At least, I fixed it. I'm still not sure why it wasn't working entirely.

Basically it was trying to go through the floor and colliding with it so it couldn't get any further. I raised the Mesh in the Player so it was at ground level and now it works.

1:53pm - I just made myself a bowl of stew and now I'm gonna watch a show while I eat. Then I'll get to figuring out my next step on this.

2:28pm - Well I finished my food and watched a show, but now I'm not feeling entirely worky. I want to play a game. So I will! I'll try to work more soon, and leave this open for now.

3:07pm - Warframe is updatin' so I might as well try to figure out what I'm going to do with my project next. I've got a player who moves around the map on a navmesh, so that's good. I guess next I'll make the carrot patch, then the civs.

3:37pm - Okay now I've got a really weird bug. I increased the size of my ground plane, added the carrot patch ground, and rebaked the navmesh, and my player character won't go into the new areas, except a little, if I click right next to them when they're on the edge. Then if I click back in the area they're usually stuck in, they'll take a circuitous route across the area they can't go into at all otherwise, to get to someplace close to where I pointed.

I have no idea what's going on. ^.^;;

3:43pm - I have some idea what's going on!

It has to do with the Camera script that handles input. It's not sending out the position if I click in the new area. I think it must have something to do with me attaching the Camera to the player, so they would move together. So the next step is figuring out what's wrong with the input handling function. But it's been long enough, I still want to play Warframe and their update should be updated now.

3:58pm - Okay now I'm hungry and I ended up working instead of playing, but I'm too hungry and otherwise stressed to think straight, so I'm going to go get some foods.

6:37pm - I'm back from bonus food and game playing and I'm less stressed now, I think, so let's take another crack at the input handling function.

7:01pm - Well the problem is clear, the raycast isn't hitting the plane on the edges, for some reason. I don't know why yet.

7:38pm - Oh I figured it out! I got help from the same guy as before, actually. The collision shape of the plane didn't update when I expanded the plane.

Learn-ding!

So what now? I guess it's back to making the carrot patch...

7:53pm - Okay I've got the carrot patch and the carrot in graphical form at least. But I'm yawnin' and blinkin' so I don't know if I've got any more work in me today.

Next time I've got to make the Carrot Patch spawn Carrots.
