1:38pm - Day three! Normally for me this would be near the end, but this jam lasts two weeks, so I've got 11 days remaining, and I'm still just getting started.

Now that I have my setting and some semblance of story, I still need to work out what happens as a result of the attack on the trial, and who my other characters are.

Now, the player is going to be as average a joe as there is in a postfurry/posthuman underground antarctic space launch base. So what puts them in control of the situation at court when the attacker attacks? That's a toughie.

2:06pm - So far the best ideas I've got are:

A weapon gets lost, and the player picks it up
The player gets taken hostage
Some kind of weapon paralyzes everyone in the court besides the player

More and more though I'm thinking I should rethink the dramatic event. I've got a good setting going on but a trial getting interrupted by violence and some guy is the only one who can save the day? It doesn't feel right.

I'll go look at the generators some more, see if I can come up with a better idea.

2:23pm - Well the generators didn't help much but I guess they got me in the right mindset. I thought of something. What if there's a problem in the base that only the player knows about, which they have to solve themself?

Maybe they get sealed in a chamber with a broken machine?

Maybe they get cornered and have to solve a social problem?

3:00pm - I think I got a good suggestion from my friend Alfador, along with some ideas from Alex Reynard. The player will be a techie (probably almost every postfur is some kind of techie of course) and an engineer of sorts and will be tasked with helping keep the base running despite problems.

Now I've gotta go for a while 'cause it's a beautiful day and I have a battery to return to the store.

2:00am - Well some things happened and I took a sleep and now I'm going to take another. Day went by too fast. Hopefully I'll be up early.
