3:45pm - Well, I feel like I've spent way too much time scrolling all the activities I could be doing and not actually doing any of them, so I'm going to try making a work post to organize my thoughts.
First off, I spent a lot of yesterday playing the original Defense Grid, since I've had TD games on the mind and that's one I like. I've been struggling to get a max rank score on the story mode for the second level though; no matter how I set up my towers, I can't keep the enemies from borrowing (and then returning) my power cores. I think that might be what's losing my points. But also I'm often only 10-20 points away from the max rank score. I don't know why that is. According to the scoreboard, a couple of my friends have the max rank score, so it's possible, but I'm not getting it. Very frustrating.
Second off, I've had an Unreal Engine tutorial open for like, two or three days now, and I keep procrastinating on actually finishing it. I want to familiarize myself with the engine and refresh my C++ knowledge so I'm in a good position to apply to OnceLost games next month.
Otherwise I've mostly been scrolling Steam and my other game platforms looking for something I want to devote some time to and coming up empty. I've got a ton of games to play, and many that I haven't even tried yet.
I've got TODO lists for both my work and my life, to try to keep a balance, but I don't especially want to do anything on them.
There's lots of things I could do around the apartment, too. I'm looking at my computer and thinking I should really put the new HDD inside of it and box it all up. Of course, I hate to turn my computer off...
5:12pm - Ultimately I ended up spending an hour scrolling twitter. But that's done, I reached the end. So I'm back to my problem from before, what to do, what to do?
5:52pm - Ended up playing Defense Grid some more, for around 40 minutes it looks like. Oh well.
Now I should probably eat something and then get to that Unreal Tutorial before I'm complaining about having it open for three or four days instead.
Oh but my roomie is doing the dishes, so I'll have to wait on food. Still, I'll take another look at the Tutorial et al.
6:26pm - I finished the tutorial and I'm moving on to another one, while also playing Defense Grid in the background.
6:37pm - Oh this isn't just a tutorial, it's a whole online learning thing. Neat.
7:43pm - I keep having to pause while following this "Your first hour in UE4" online learning program. So, it's taking a lot longer than one hour.
1:58am - I ended up in bed for another three to four hours after that last bit, it was largely a lazy day today. Now I've got a thing that'll probably keep me up all night, so I'll keep updating this as neccesary if I work more.
4:25am - Time flies, but now it's bed time. Good night!
