12:32am - Lately I've been craving an old fashioned, Dragon Quest like grindy JRPG, but I don't know what to do about it. I've been thinking of making one. Heck, I've even thought about making a generator to make them for me. I could, but it would take a long ass time on my own and I don't think it would be worthwhile.

Just making one, though, that's different. I could just make one.

How should I go about doing it, though? Should I load up RPG Maker MV and just chart one out? Should I make one in Godot maybe?

I don't know, really.

12:57am - I need to ask myself what's the point of this thing, before I start it. Is it just for fun? Is it something I want to put on my portfolio? Is it a trail I want to tread ahead of other people, like a trailblazer?

I kinda want to make it all in Godot, partly as a learning experience, and partly to show people how it's done.

I kinda want to make it in RPG Maker MV because that way I'll learn about the balancing issues in JRPGs faster.

I'm not sure what's the best idea.

I'll do some research for now, that should get things going.

2:45am - Alright I went to itch.io and looked at a bunch of sprite options for monsters, which for me is probably the hardest thing to source. I found some decent ones, so that's good.

I'm still not sure on the answers to those earlier questions though. And I'm losing interest in working for the moment. So I'm going to stop for now, and see where that takes me.
