relee3:31pm - The last few days have been difficult for working, but I'm going to try and carry on today.
I've gotten myself the version of Godot that supports C# and a new C# roguelike library called GoRogue and I want to try them out together.
So, let's see... I've already got everything downloaded and tested, so it works, but I need to see if I can get them working together. So I need to make sure there's a way for the system to know when the internal map updates. Let's look for that first.
4:01pm - It looks like the Map class fires off C# events when various things happen. It's been too long since I worked with C# so I'll have to look up how to recieve them.
4:13pm - Some complications arose with a food order so I'll be back in around an hour.
6:04pm - Well that took around twice as long as I expected. Geez. My car was buried in the snow, and I don't have a shovel. I needed to go pick up the Puffios I ordered, so I got in, pulled it back, and cleared off the snow from the front. It took me like 40-50 minutes to get to the pizzaria, and then I had to come home again. The snow banks in the parking lot are too big, so I figured out a method of parking that involved backing into the snow really fast. Not the best idea, but it worked. Now I'm probably going to have to wait until the snow melts some before I go anywhere again. ^.^;;
Either that or get a shovel...
Anyways I was working before and I'd like to get back to it.
7:14pm - I didn't get far before I got side-tracked, reading my Twitter. Alas. But that's all done now, so let's give it another go!
7:26pm - I've successfully looked up how to subscribe to events in C#. But my eyes are getting heavy and my body is tired after my trip and meal an hour ago. I'll keep going a little bit longer, but soon I'll have a nap.
8:08pm - I've run into a wall. I keep getting an error that it can't load the Monogame framework. I need a break so I'm taking one.
Of course I type that and take 'one last look' and find an explanation of my problem. I'll fix it after my nap.
12:44pm - That nap was longer than expected! Well I'm up now.
2:10am - I fixed the problem by switching the .dll files for special versions they have specifically for this issue. Now it works but I'm too tired to test it properly.
