6:03pm - Workin' from the couch at home today. It's been a while since I've done anything at home; it's pretty hard to get into the right headspace here but I'll try anyway. I didn't want to rush out for more McD's today. I've been going there so much I'm a bit sick of it? And it's not cheap, even when I have the cheap meal.
Anyways for whatever reason I've got a bug up my butt about text based games again. But weirdly I'm not planning on working in Twine or anything sensible for a text based game; I'm going to fiddle about in Unity, and see what I can cook up.
Effectively I'm using Unity just for the interface rather than any of their fancy stuff, I might as well just be working in pure C#, but I feel this suits me better. If I make something basic, I might expand upon it for Ludum Dare. ^.^
Plus it's easy to distribute games made with Unity, and I don't have to learn anything new. So I guess that's it. Let's do.
7:07pm - Wow, a whole hour has passed working on this and I'm feeling worked out already. I've barely begun, too. Geez.
7:11pm - Well this is weird. I want to go for a walk, and get something to eat. If I was gonna do that I might as well go to McDonalds and work there, right? But I don't want to do that. I think I'm going to go to the Harvey's instead, get a nice meal, and come back to work some more. We'll see how it goes. I'll leave this open for now.
8:34pm - I'm back and already working again. I got back around 8:04 so I guess I've been working a half hour already? Nice. I had an okay meal at Harvey's. The burgers were good as ever but I can't reccomend their poutine. I'm not sure what's wrong with it, but I felt kind of ill as I ate it. Bleh. Maybe I just wasn't in the right state to eat a poutine? I dunno.
I picked up two cases of club soda on the way home so I can have more fizzy drinks, too.
Now I'm back workin' on the text game system.
8:57pm - I'm actually following along with a tutorial for my base components, which is something I do a lot. It's slow going though. I've only gone through two main 'coding' followalong videos and while the videos are around 15 minutes each, they take me about an hour each so far. XD
At this rate I won't have much done by the time I have to stop in around an hour. Oh well. At least I'm doing better than writing two commented lines like last time.
9:15pm - Another vid done, and this time it only took me ten minutes plus the length of the video. Not bad.
9:34pm - One more down, but the next one is over 15 minutes of video on a headier subject and I'm winding down, so I think I'll save it for another time and take a break for now.
