7:28pm - Well it's been another two weeks of deep depression. Depression really sucks you know? On the bright side though I got a job irl. Nothing fancy, but a simple part time job that should give me more income. <3
Anyways I finally feel like working again so let's take a look at what I've got.
Last time I was going to work I was going to add strength values to all the transformation points I'd previously developed. I'm probably still going to do that but let's also look at my other projects I haven't worked on in over a month.
I planned to finish the game jam game I worked on for I Can't Draw Jam 2, but I'm not sure I'm going to do it anymore. All the inspiration and energy for that game has left me. On the other hand, I've had those energies return before so who knows?
My big project, the 3D character creator, is going pretty slow. I haven't poked at it in over a month. It requires a lot more focus than I've had, and most of the focus I have had has been put towards the TF Survival Game.
Last night I dreamed of making 3D platformers. First a Mario game, and then a more generic multiplayer online platformer. Both were awesome and I wish they were real. Unfortunately I don't think I'm prepared or energized enough to make a 3D platformer just now. They take a little more work than the 2D platformers I've made before, though less than most people would think given the utility of modern game engines. It's amazing how much is already done for you. It's also worth noting that there's big changes ahead for 3D in Godot, so it's probably worth waiting for them before starting any new 3D projects.
Finally, my for-friends project of a Farflung campaign, I want to work on that as well, but I can only work on one thing at a time and I think my TF Survival Game project needs the TLC the most right now.
8:10pm - And of course as soon as I wrote that I immediately wandered off into the internet to do other things. Looking for a new sofa. XD
8:25pm - Made a quick mistake, putting strength values for each part rather than each factor of each part, so had to undo a lot manually. Alas. Anyways the individual elements of each body part should have a strength value determining how 'sticky' that bit of TF is to get off, as well as how essential it is to the TF itself, so I can compare a body and see if it's close to a certain TF type.
For some reason I also can't stop thinking of making RPGs though, and an idea I had to make one similar to Chrono Trigger, but leaning harder on its non-random encounters, to make an EXP-free JRPG style game. Instead of grinding for EXP you'd battle to progress the story; combats would only be avoidable if that was a valid strategy for defeating them, and progression would happen as the story progressed rather than when an arbitrary number of random monsters are slain. Combats would be more like puzzles of how to use your powers to defeat the enemy, instead of just overpowering them.
I keep thinking of RPG maker but it'd probably be better to make the game from scratch in Godot like my other projects. There's already some handy free demos to build off of.
Anyways I've got tons of projects already, and I'm supposed to be working on one of them, so let's continue.
8:43pm - I've added the 1's to the human template and now I'm bored as heck. I even did a shortcut by copying and pasting one side to the other, since they're symmetrical. I'm not sure I want to do the rest right now. But what else am I going to do?
9:07pm - Yeah I've lost my energy for the night I think. Well at least I researched sofas...
