7:37am - Hoo boy it's been a while. A couple months ago I got into World of Warcraft again at the urging of a friend, played it for a month straight, then a bit less, then a bit less, and so on. I also got a job about three weeks ago, working in the retail mines as an overnight fulfillment associate at a Wal-Mart across town. The people are mostly nice there, so it's not too bad, and I haven't cried yet so I must be growing. But with every new job I take I feel like I'm abandonning my old work, and I don't want that. So I'm going to be trying to spend my off days working too, but back on my old project. Well it's not that old, it's only been two months...
Time puts all things in perspective. I need to remember that I'm not in a race here, I can make my game at my own pace. Maybe Godot 4 will be out before I'm very far in, but that's probably a good thing. I'm not exactly building outside the box at this stage.
8:00am - I tried opening my project in the Godot editor, but bounced off pretty quick. I'm probably not ready to dive in so completely yet.
The last time I was working on it, I was trying to stick a GUI to the camera view so that you could click on the screen and open dialog boxes, but I had the problem that the GUI just kind of sat in one place instead of following the camera. Never did solve that problem. Not sure how either. I'll see if I can find some GUI tips maybe, or look in the documentation some more.
11:00am - Well I don't think I've accomplished much but I at least feel better for having done 'something' this morning.
I'll have to try and get some more work done later.
