8:26pm - Well here we go again, New Year, more work. My next plan was to make up a TileType component and an extendable enum-with-data to determine the properties for each TileType.

10:23pm - Well that was a productive two hours. I managed to make the TileType and the enum-like TileTypeData and an editor script for TileType to update the tile with a click of a button when the TileType changes.

Now I'm getting busy with something else so I've decided to put this down for now. We'll see if I do some more work later.

I'm glad you not only solved the hit detection issue with the tiles but devised a way use programming language to tell the engine to make updating the tiles instantaneous, instead of having to manually edit individual sprites. You seem to have a natural talent for this sort of thing even if it's taking time. :)

Good luck with getting the random map generator going, come to think of it! You seem to be on a good path, I guess it's mainly a matter of figuring out how to activate shortcuts within the engine so the work doesn't take as long.
