Work Post

11:20pm - Well, Alex and Robby didn't want to chat tonight, so I decided to come out to the McDonalds and work on my projects.

I'm not sure what exactly should be my first step, so I'm starting by opening up a Work Post. These usually help me focus myself. I'm a little on guard though 'cause there's half a dozen punky guys sitting across from me making a ruckus.

Anyway my intention was to work on my tag game tonight. It's been so long since I worked on it, however, that I'm not sure where I left off.

11:27pm - *checks previous entry* Oh geez I haven't worked on this in around two months. o.o;;

11:42pm - I decided to get a drink and some fries. The McDonalds is pretty busy considering it's almost midnight.

Anyways I just read through my last couple entries and it seems I was having a lot of emotional problems back then, and I only vaguely stated that I needed to integrate the sight cone implementation from the video I've got open right now into my game. I guess for my next step I should watch the video again.

12:46pm - Well it's an hour later and I just tried to watch the video but wasn't able to. I'm very frustrated with myself.

1:08am - I'm still procrastinating but the McDonalds has cleared out some so hopefully I can concentrate more.

1:48am - I've decided to give up for today; I keep trying to watch that video and then backing off, and the McDonalds has gotten busy again. I'll go home when the music ends, and try to find something I can do for the rest of the night.

It sounds like you're kinda getting the hang of getting Unity to do what you want to do, so hopefully making that game will become less difficult over time. Fromw what I'm seeing Unity does sound like a really stubborn engine to work with though.

Unity isn't really that bad compared to the other options. I mean, it's a good engine and it's got really good documentation and tutorials for basic things, and a lot of people have done tutorials for more advanced concepts.

I'll get this eventually. I just need to be in the right state of mind.

Aaaah, I guess it's a good thing it's more or less the best there is so far. Good luck on focusing as you continue to learn the engine!
