6:10pm - Wow, I've been having pretty bad luck today. I managed to convince myself to go out and work on my projects, but when I got to the McDonalds their internet was out, and when I asked the McConcierge he said they wouldn't be able to fix it without contacting Bell, which would probably take a day at least. So that's just smashing. I had already ordered a meal there, so now it's costing me more to pay for a coffee at the cafe I use as my backup location. At least the internet here is working...
Well my luck's not all bad. I missed the rain and now there's a rainbow shining over the Talize. I hope Rob brings home a Pot o' Gold.
Anywhizzle I just checked my previous work post and it says that I should wrap some repeated code up in a function. The problem is I'm not sure if I should make two functions, one for either case, or a single function that takes an extra parameter that determines which side of the if statement it goes down.
I'm really not sure which is the best way to go. So I asked on the GameDev League Discord, and someone suggested the second one. So I'll try that.
6:54pm - That's much cleaner! Looks great.
Now I need to add similar code to the wander state so that it can determine if you're looking for it players or not.
7:26pm - I've got the code in so it should switch to the Chase state if an it player sees a non-it, non-lastIt player. I should probably test to make sure that code works.
7:29pm - Yep it works! Go me. High five. Nice.
7:44pm - I've run low on enthusiasm. The next step for my game is doing the movement code. That's a big jump. I haven't worked with the navmesh movement stuff in Unity in months. I'm also distracted by other ideas.
7:51pm - I think I'm going to put the game work on hold for now, listen to the last of my friend Alex's new mixtape, then go home.
7:58pm - Good mixtape.
