relee9:08am - Here I go again working on stuff. I spent an hour from six to seven am reading that book, and got through chapter five. Very interesting stuff, finally some things I haven't heard of or didn't know before. I'm planning on reading some more shortly, but I wanted to start up a Work Post to keep track of what I'm doing, and comment on it.
9:34am - This chapter 6 seemed interesting, but what I've been reading so far doesn't seem useful for my current project.
Ahh and there's the end of the chapter. Good stuff for the right job, but not the right stuff for what I'm doing.
Next up is Chapter 7: Learning. We'll see if this has anything I can use...
9:58am - So far it seems like this is all beyond what I'm trying to accomplish. I might use some sort of simple learning system in my life-planning AI but nothing like the high level techniques detailed in this chapter.
10:01am - And that's chapter 7. Chapter 8 is on Board Game AI. I doubt there'll be anything in there I can use for my project.
10:16am - It wasn't even a very long chapter. Oh well.
The rest of the book is about Supporting Technologies. Not AI Patterns themselves.
I think I'm spent for now, so I'll leave them for later. For now I'm going to close up this post and watch another Dragon Ball episode. Then if everything is going well, I'll go out for a while and see what I can get up to in the real world.
