7:33am - I'm having some trouble getting started today. I just had a light lunch and I'm trying to decide what to do with myself. I feel a bit refreshed after spending some time yesterday working on my AI project, but I'm not sure if it was enough.
I've got Udemy open in another tab so I'm definately considering doing the exercises for part one there.
I also have a couple of other things I'd like to do; have a nice long shower and do some laundry, but the latter I can't do yet, and the former should wait until after the latter is done. Laundry in this apartment takes around two hours to do and I probably shouldn't start until 8am at the earliest.
All the while, returning to my bed is terribly tempting. I've got lots of things on my mind and some time spent thinking shouldn't go awry.
The thing promoting that last option is the sunrise, which is getting close to the height to peek over my curtain and shine in my eyes.
11:14am - Well I've done the exercises, had a shower, and laundry should be done in under a half hour. I'm starting to get tired and hungry again, but I'm not sure what to do about that.
I'd like to spend some time working on my AI project, but first I think I need to lay down until it's time to pull out the laundry.
12:23pm - Well, Laundry is done and I ate some of Robby's weak soup. So I guess I'm doing okay now. I'm still really tired so I might go to bed soon, but I want to do a bit on my AI Project before that.
So here's the thing, I never did decide what to make before. I knew I wanted to make a long-term AI that dynamically schedules itself, and feels somewhat like a person you can have a relationship with However, I didn't choose a project to implement that sort of AI in.
Before I was trying to decide between some easy projects, but I think the only reasonable thing to do for this is to shoot for the stars and make my own 'Dwarf Fortress'... Something unique to me though.
So, it'll be that sort of semi real-time management simulation, but from the perspective of one of its members. You'll interact with the other townies to schedule work and assign jobs and they'll do them while also having lives of their own.
It'll be a big project, but it should be one worth supporting.
I'm still trying to decide the details though. Like, what kind of world representation do I want? Should it be 2D or 3D? That sort of thing. So I'll think about it and hopefully come up with an answer. I'll have to shrink it down to something small to start though, so I have something to build as a proof of concept. But we'll worry about that next time.
