11:38pm - I'm up again and starting work again. Gotta fix the swiping.
11:52pm - I fixed the swiping. Next I think is matches.
7:00am - I ended up having a long unplanned nap, which is kind of good because I'm going to a convention today. Less time to work on the game, though. Anyways I plan on bringing my laptop to the con with me and working on the game during downtime, which there should be a lot of since there's dick all happening at the con this year apart from the best guests Pinky and the Brain (Rob Paulsen and Maurice LaMarche).
I'm going to have a shower now in preparation for that, and I'll use whatever time I have between then and breakfast to work on the jam.
7:33am - Shower done! I'm planning to pop over to A&W for breakky before going to the con. That means I should leave at 8:45am. That gives me about an hour to work.
7:45am - The tutorial I've been following is doing things in a weird way that I don't think I can follow, so I'm skimming through to see his reasoning. The thing is, he has the symbols on the tiles detect matches. That's so bizzare to me. Why not have the gameboard detect if there's a match?
7:51am - Yeah now he's putting in coroutines to check for unmatched tiles and move them back if they're wrong. That's just so weird I can't follow the logic anymore. I left a comment asking about the symbols detecting the matches but I don't have time to pick his brain on why he did things this way.
I'll just have to do the rest on my own.
The next step is finding matches, and I'm going to build a script that finds matches and reveals them to the rest of the program.
But I just got a realization that while I may be able to work at the con, I won't be able to play, and I want to play a game for a bit. So I'm going to do that for now, for just a half hour. Then go for breakfast. So I'll continue this at the con! Probably!
